The maintenance man who reportedly shot two teenagers to death, as they beat him with a bat, has been freed from jail, so has a man who was with them.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office says the two men have been set free, while prosecutors and police review the circumstances of the incident. It occurred Wednesday, in the stairwell of an apartment building in the 1400 block of North 27th Street.
Investigators are seeking information from all potential witnesses.
According to local media reports, the maintenance worker is 39 years old, a resident of Cudahy and has a state concealed carry permit. Initially, officers arrested him on potential homicide charges.
The two Milwaukee teens killed: 17-year-old Anmarie Miller and 19-year-old James Bell, Jr. Police had arrested the 20-year-old who was with them at the time, but he too has been released from jail while the investigation continues.
