Republican Van Wanggaard is expected to announce his candidacy today for the state senate seat he lost in a recall election last June.Racine Republican Van Wangaarrd narrowly lost to Democrat John Lehman in the June, 2012 recall election. Lehman's victory gave Democrats a brief 17-16 majority in the state senate. The boundaries in the 21st district will be different when Wangaarrd runs again in 2014. Lines were re-drawn by the Republican controlled legislature.
