Donivan Berube recently took a swim in Lake Michigan. The water was 32 degrees. Of that experience he wrote, “like most things in life: it hurt real bad, but it was pretty much worth it.”
Having chosen to “disassociate” himself from the Jehovah Witnesses that he grew up with to date his musical partner and now wife, Jacquelyn Berube, Donivan knows about sacrifice, and the joy it can lead to in one’s life.
Now Jacquelyn and Donivan are Blessed Feathers, a folk duo from West Bend, Wisconsin. Since spring of 2013 they have been living a nomadic life, camping and touring the National Parks.
Their new album is Order of the Arrow and will play songs from the album tonight at 8pm at Shank Hall.
