Yup... Packers' Loss Still Hurts

For about 55 minutes of football on Sunday afternoon, it looked like the Green Bay Packers would be playing for a Super Bowl title in a couple of weeks.

They led the Seattle Seahawks for nearly the entire game.

But as all sports fans know, there's a reason they play the entire game, and after an improbable comeback, it'll be Seattle that takes on the New England Patriots in Arizona come Super Bowl Sunday. Lake Effect's sports contributor and senior editor at Milwaukee Magazine Howie Magner joins Mitch Teich in the studio to look back - and forward.

"You don't think of the Packers as a team that snatches defeat from the jaws of victory, and that happened to the umpteenth level in this game," Magner says.

With the defeat still raw for many fans and players, "it's just going to be a lot tougher to get excited about next season when this season is still so fresh and so painful in everybody's minds," he says.
