When you vote next month, you’ll notice two items on the ballot related to the Supreme Court. One will be the race for a seat on the court. The other – a referendum. 

Today, we examine the dynamics of the race. It pits Incumbent Justice Ann Walsh Bradley against Rock County Circuit Judge James Daley. High court elections seem to generate a lot more electricity these days, than in years past.

A bill that would change the way the Wisconsin Supreme Court selects its chief justice advanced another step on Thursday.

The state’s highest court says it was appropriate for a Madison judge to approve a UW Board of Regents request for a restraining order.

Wisconsin’s Voter ID law went before the state Supreme Court on Tuesday. The law requires residents to present a government-issued photo ID, in order to vote.

Another court battle begins Tuesday over Wisconsin’s Voter ID law. The state Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in a case the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin initiated.

A recent report puts Wisconsin in its "Hall of Shame" for the nasty nature of its state judicial campaigns, thanks to outside money and political pressure.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has decided to hear a challenge to the state's domestic partner registry.  The registry grants same-sex couples a host of legal rights. 

Members of the conservative group Wisconsin Family Action, filed a lawsuit in 2010 alleging the registry violates the state constitution.  It was amended in 2006 prohibiting gay marriage or civil unions.

An appeals court upheld the registry in December, listing a number of rights married couples enjoy that same-sex couples don't, even if they join the registry.
