Friday on Lake Effect:

Marquette announces plans to break ground on a new athletic research facility downtown. President Mike Lovell hopes it becomes an international hub. Then, film contributor Duane Dudek says that unfortunately, the Academy Awards have a long history of ignoring non-white actors. We’ll learn about the real life friendship between Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass as told by Madison children’s book author Dean Robbins. And we’ll have an in-studio performance from Wisconsin’s own Horseshoes and Hand Grenades.
