Tuesday on Lake Effect: Economic Impact of Same-Sex Marriages, Local Children's Book Author

Tuesday on Lake Effect:

The US Supreme Court yesterday paved the way for same-sex marriages to resume in Wisconsin and four other states. We talk with the editor of a prominent Wisconsin, progressive issue-focused newspaper about the developments and the challenges he still sees for gays and lesbians in Wisconsin. Later, we’ll revisit an interview about the potential economic impact of same-sex marriage here. Plus, a UW-Whitewater professor talks about his new book on the challenges of coming of age in El Salvador. And South Milwaukee children’s book author Janet Halfmann talks about her two newest titles.

Guests:

  • Louis Weisberg, Wisconsin Gazette
  • Abby Callard, Milwaukee Magazine
  • Jim Winship, UW-Whitewater and author, Coming of Age in El Salvador
  • Janet Halfmann, author, A Rainbow of Birds and Animal Teachers
